Personal Financial Management Instructional Course Disclosure

- All of our Financial Management Trainers maintain an Accredited Credit Counselor Certification provided through the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE). Each of the Trainers has at least two years experience in the financial industry and has given numerous workshops on topics including but not limited to Living Below Your Means, Managing Credit, Understanding Credit, Applying for Loans, Managing Personal Finances and Planning for Future Financial Goals.

- Community Credit Counseling Services, as a non-profit, is supported by contributions from clients, creditors, private individuals, grants and other donations. These sources of income include but are not limited to grant funding, fair share contributions, private donations, and fee-for-service programs.

- Fees for Personal Financial Management Instructional Course: There is a $49 fee for the Personal Financial Management Instructional Course. There are no other fees for course materials. This course is provided regardless of ability to pay.
- If additional counseling sessions are requested, the Credit Counselor will let the client know the fee(s) prior to the second meeting. The fee(s) is based on the type and amount of work required by the Credit Counselor. These fees are paid directly by the client. All fees are disclosed in writing prior to enrollment in any of our programs. Counseling Sessions are provided regardless of ability to pay. If you are receiving your Bankruptcy Filing pro-bono, or if your sole source of income is disability or social security, this fee may be waived.

Course Dates, Times and Locations of Classes: Course dates, times and locations are listed on our website and are available by calling our office. The course dates, times and locations are subject to change. Please either call our office or check our website at www.bkcounselor.org for this information.

- People that are interested in our class may be referred by an attorney, a friend, the internet, or by simply calling our office. Community Credit Counseling Services does not pay or receive fees or other consideration for the referral of debtor students to or by the provider.

Upon completion of the course, Community Credit Counseling Services will provide a certificate of course completion to each student within 72 hours. This certificate will either be given to the student or to the student’s attorney.

There will be a return check fee of $25.00 for any returned checks or insufficient funds on automatic withdrawals. Checks must be replaced by cash or cashier’s check in 24 hours.

It is the clients’ responsibility to follow up with his/her attorney to verify receipt of the certificate and filing of the certificate with the court.
